Safety first
Your safety and security are our top priorities. Here are the guidelines and best practices we ask everyone to follow.
Safety guidelines for customers
Verify your host
Check the host's profile, reviews and credentials before booking. Reading previous reviews is the quickest way to know what to expect.
Communicate through the platform
Keep every conversation inside Music Traveler. It lets us step in if something goes wrong, and it keeps your contact details private.
Share your plans
Tell someone you trust where you will be and when you expect to be back, and send them your booking details.
Trust your instincts
If something feels wrong, it is reason enough. You can cancel or leave at any point — your safety comes before the booking.
Safety guidelines for hosts
Look after your space
Keep the space clean and in good repair, and make sure the equipment works and the room meets local safety standards.
Set clear expectations
Spell out your rules, your availability and any restrictions in the listing. Most misunderstandings start with something that went unsaid.
Respect privacy
Give your customers room to work. Be available when you are needed, and keep a professional distance the rest of the time.
Report problems
If a booking goes wrong or you feel unsafe, tell our support team straight away. We would rather hear about it early.
General safety tips
- Meet somewhere public first where you can, or make sure someone knows where you are
- Keep your belongings with you and never leave anything valuable unattended
- Stay aware of your surroundings
- Follow local laws and regulations
- Respect noise rules and the neighbours
